How Does Invisalign ® Work?
- Invisalign treatment is customized for each individual so treatment will vary from patient to patient. On average, Invisalign treatment will last 9 to 15 months, with 18 to 30 aligners being utilized.
- Aligners are fabricated based on cast and molds and photos of your teeth. These pictures will then be subjected to complex computer 3-D modeling and simulation programs that will determine the best course of treatment.
- The patient will be given a schedule of their treatment where they will be instructed to wear a specific aligner, usually for 2 weeks, before moving onto the next aligner.
- Each aligner is designed to apply controlled force to a specific area of your teeth, slowly ‘pushing’ your teeth back on track.
